Corporate Legal Officer

SW Global Limited, a leading, rapidly growing global software company is seeking a Corporate Legal Officer. The position is based in Accra, Ghana
 
Under this position, you are responsible to provide analysis and counsel on legal and policy issues, anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company, and develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Provide analysis and counsel on legal and policy issues to include; proposed new products, protecting intellectual property, nondisclosure agreements, labor laws, employment, vendor and partnership contracts, and procurement.
•    Write and administer complex vendor, client, and employment contracts.
•    Manage external council or its officials in various legal proceedings.
•    Write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents.
•    Provide legal counsel on issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits.
•    Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company.
•    Develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues.
•    Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues.
•    Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
•    Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

•    An LLB plus a minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
•    Knowledge local laws
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Ability to analyze corporate and contract law and provide recommendations.
•    Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
